Overview of worldwide locations

Osiecznica

Osiecznica is located in the western region of Poland, about 120 km to the east of Dresden. The plant is one of the most modern works in the whole of Europe for silica sand extraction and processing. The silica sand deposit of Osiecznica was formed about 100 million years ago (Upper Cretaceous epoch) through the near-shore deposition of fine- to medium-grained sands in a shallow sea. The exceptional purity makes the sand a rare raw material that is sought after nationwide.
